Founder

Portrait of Nicolas Nunez, Founder of AIDirect and LexGoAI

Nicolas Nunez

  • · AIDirect, Inc. — Founder & CEO
  • · LexGoAI, Inc. — Founder & CTO

Four decades across software, enterprise IT, and legal technology — now building the AI-native tools the civil legal system needs.

Nicolas's career started at the leading edge of artificial intelligence: an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Toronto in 1982 with a thesis on Vision AI and Robotics, at a time when both fields lived almost entirely inside research labs. Two decades of software entrepreneurship and enterprise IT followed — he founded and sold Open Solutions, Inc. in 1999, and served as CIO for a global manufacturer. From 2002 onward he focused on legal technology and eDiscovery, leading investigations at Guidance Software (including the Warner Bros. and Sony PlayStation breach engagements) and later co-founding LIT Consulting for class-action litigation support. In 2023 he returned to founding, establishing AIDirect as an AI-native consulting firm and building the surrounding ecosystem — LexGoAI (the technology) and Skule (legal training). The through-line: civil legal services in the U.S. are inaccessible to most people and inefficient for most professionals, and AI is the lever that fixes both.
